Monster Jam Madness welcomes a new Team Member!

Travis will be doing weekly podcast reviews and among other things!

Reliant Stadium
Event recap: Drivers Dave Collard and Jordan Robson came into the event dominating the last few league races the 2 have attended, They proved once again why they are some of the top drivers in MTM2. Collard picked up the huge racing win over Kevin Payne, Robson who finished 3rd, Still has the Points lead by 2 Points over the now revived MJM Star Dave Collard. Collard took out the 2nd fastest qualifier in the finals, Kevin Payne. Reliant saw some exceptional racing but some awesome Freestyles! Robson won the Freestyle, Most known for Racing, Has been picked up his Freestyle's as of late, Even enough to be called the best up coming Freestyler in MTM2, By ironically Dave Collard. Robson got a 29 in the event as he pulled a bunch of wheelies including one in reverse. We saw some awesome freestyles from Kevin Payne, Josh Rhodes, Scotty Bergman the FS Points leader and DC pulled a good one. But Robson won it. All in all the Houston Texas fans were pumped after the event! MJM heads to Free Country Arena on the 10th of January!

Robson and Bergman on the top of the standings both winning the last 2 events in racing and Freestyle!

MJM Freestyle Review

Photobucket
After racing it was time for Freestyle here in the RCA Dome, For the final time in MJM. And fitting it was a long time vet in MTM2 To win the final MJM event in the RCA Dome. Scotty Bergman dominated Freestyle with a spectacular run. Scott's run started off just as wild as it ended, He pulled a wheelie over the black car, onto the blue stack and rode it out towards the wall, One of the best wheelies of all time in MJM. He went onto to continue the run in Scotty Bergman fashion inside the Destroyer Ford, He took down the rest of the competitors by over 4 points! Bergman wins MJM FS in Indy!

Scott told MJM's Jordan Robson this after the show, "Felt good to win it, first time out with this new Destroyer and to win by over 4 points in the event felt cool!"

After the win Bergman will move into the FS Points lead by a good margin, Bergman has won the only 3 FS Events of the year! Seems like a tale of two storys with Robson and Scotty.

MJM Racing Review

Photobucket
Night started off as expected! The best of the best at the top of the qualifying charts, Jordan Robson had First spot with a 20.56, Followed by Scott Bergman and Tim Smith. Racing night went on as Bergman would fall to Smith in a round 2 game 1 race, Smith and Robson both advanced to the Final game, As did Dan Agosh, Kevin Payne, Auz Grams, and Yomega, All 6 were very fast but went it was down to four it was Jordan Robson, Kevin Payne, Timmy Smith and LJ (Yomega) The first of two final four races had Jordan Robson facing the fast loser, Kevin Payne. Payne got the hole shot and led the first 3/4th's of the race, But Robson snuck it out at the end and advanced to the finals! Tim Smith who was in the top 3 in qualifying made it passed Mega to face Jordan Robson in the MJM RCA Dome Racing Finals! Off they went and Tim had an early edge! But at the 2nd hit they both were even as could be! Smith and Robson were dead even coming to the line and in the closest finish of the night, Robson pulled out the racing win! Propelling him into the MJM Racing Points lead winning the last 2 events!

10 Questions With MJM Driver and DJ Ryan McCauley:
Driver of the Punisher truck:

(1). Ryan how would you rate your MJM season thus far?
A: I'd rate it a 7, We've had some rough times trying out our new truck the past week, Managed to grab a few Freestyle wins along the way this season with a different truck but overall its been a good run, I'll be looking for a few more wins before seasons end.

(2). Ryan the new truck looks great, Any special things your thinking of doing to it?
A: We may put some new quarter panels on it and add some headers but not much else I want to add, I love the look of this thing.

(3). Now your on a pretty elite team in MTM2, How is your relationship with your Team Mates in MJM?
A: Its great to finally be apart of a big name team in MTM2, A team that is a threat in any and every event. As for my Team Mates, There great, Like all teams we have our good days and our bad days but we always manage to pull through and become a stronger team at the end of the day.

(4). Ryan many racers have said you are the most underrated Freestyler in the game, What are your thoughts on that?
A:I've been around for a while, Most do not know that I have won a Freestyle championship before, Though I do like to hide in the back and prowl around until its go time, And leave them with a run they won't soon forget.

(5). What are your top 3 most memorable MTM2 moments?
A: First would have to be my First Freestyle Championship, Second I'd have to go with beating Kevin Payne for the first time ever in the PPRL World Finals 1 event. Lastly I'd have to say upsetting everyone at the CMTDR World Finals by coming out 2nd in the order and winning the Freestyle event.

(6). Who do you look up to the most in MTM2?
A: Dave Collard and Kyle Carr, Kyle helped me when I was new and taught me the basics of MTM2 online. Collard for the awesome events he puts on which are always a load of fun. Also both my team mates, they've helped me with alot, Rough times to many that i'd like to remember, so to all of these. Thank you.

(7). Who in your mind as of late has impressed you the most?
A: Auz Grams; He won the Halloween Havoc Freestyle Competetion earlier this year in the DC Special Events, I forsee many great things from that kid.

(8). In all of MTM2 who of all the racers do you most hate losing to?
A: Hate is a strong word to use, I don't like to lose period but that is why we have Freestyle :)

(9). Who is your favorite Monster Jam Superstar?
A: Charlie Pauken and Frank Krmel no doubt.

(10). Who is the most talented in your opinion of all MTM2 racers? You can name more then one.
A: Jordan Robson, Kyle Carr, Dave Collard, Austin Grams, and Chris Kaelin. There are many more, These just come to mind!

Ryan thank you for your time and GL with the rest of your MJM season!

"Thank you."
